Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri all in one day!

Current mood: bummed
Category: Life

Well, I hope everyone had a great weekend! I had a very eventful one. Well, the plan was that as soon as Ryan was out of football practice on Thursday we were going to be on our way to Arkansas to see family for Decoration. Well, Thursday Holly and I take dad's expedition and we go get stuff done. Holly was so sweet to me, she paid for me and her to get pedicures and manicures, also she colored my hair. Well, we did not notice any problems with the SUV at all. Well dad comes home from work and goes to put new tires on the SUV. Well, after he paid the man at Discount Tires he can not start the car at all. He calls us saying that he is stranded. We are like ARE YOU KIDDING ME, WE JUST DROVE THE THING? So, Ryan and Holly go to get him at this point cause Ryan is home. Then we find out that we can not start it and push the SUV over to our apartment complex thank God we are not that far from Discount Tires. Well, so we do not leave till Friday and we have to leave in Holly's old car, My mothers old Dodge Intrepid. Ok, so we get to Missouri because we are going to meet my cousin Priscilla and her family at their timeshare they have in Branson. My cousin Tristan is a complete mess and running absolutely everywhere. Her 3rd birthday was Saturday. She was a terrible 2 and now going into Tremendously Terrible 3's. Well, we eat dinner with them and then make it to my grandma's Friday night. Saturday we are all out and about with Grandma and at the house is my aunt and uncle and 9 of their 12 grandkids. I had a complete blast watching my 2nd cousins running, yelling, and almost kill each other. The only ones I got pictures of were Ashlyn and Abigail! Well, it was fun and I know my aunt and uncle had fun. Well, Sunday morning we met Priscilla, Vince, Taylor, and Tristan at the Shoney's in Harrison. Well from there we made a trip to Wal-Mart and were off to the festivities at the Cemetery. Well, in line for food Taylor tripped and landed into a wood post. After rushing her to the emergency room, they removed an over 5 inch wood splinter from her leg. I had to babysit Tristan and that was interesting. So, not as much pictures, but I got to talk to a few 2nd cousins and hold some ultra cute babies. I have a few pics that I will post soon of parts of the trip. Well, now I am going to have to go photo crazy at the Family Reunion. Anyway, Taylor is going to live, she is 8 and resilent. We are home now, and we are going to go get Grandma from Uncle Tommy and Aunt Maryannes soon. We are going to try to get her from Abilene where my cousin Trent lives and works at a bank there. So, I am excited! Have a great week!

NEW JOB Current mood: thoughtful Category: Jobs, Work, Careers
So, I went to my interview yesterday and the director was an awesome lady! She does everything by the book and has the most organized daycare. In fact they have won best daycare in Frisco every year for the past three years. I had to come in today to do a working interview. I got to meet my class, and they are wonderful kids, yes some try your patience but that is the whole purpose of being 3. I have the just turned 3 year olds, they are great kids, already potty trained, they wipe their own noses, and no carrying them. Which I kind of miss that part. Well, here is the deal I am hired, but I have 30 days trial period because I have no experince in the 3 year old. So, I have 30 days to convince the boss that I am not going to run away screaming. I really like the sechdule the kids have and how everything works. So, I know that everything will be ok, I am also working on believing in myself that I can do this and handle anything. This is a test to make me stronger and a better teacher. So, I am going to be happy about this and not complain and smile big all the time. I have 27 kids right now but there is 3 of us teachers. I am very excited about things in the classroom, so at the end of 30 days if she feels I am qualified enough and feels I am completely comfortable then she is going to make me the lead teacher of the Preschool 1 class which are my 3 year olds. Well, I am glad to be working again and pray that 2008 really is all I need and want it be. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
